These herbs are harmless, easily available and not so expensive. Rather than spending huge amount on beauty and hair products, try these natural products to cure your hair problems and to make them healthier.

Here Are The 11 Herbs That Work Wonders For Your Hair:

1.    Fenugreek

Fenugreek (or fenugreek seed or methi or methi dana) is an age old tried and tested herb for all kind of hair remedies. It does wonder for hair growth, controls hair fall, prevents premature grey and makes the hair thicker and shinier.
Hair Pack: Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Grind it to make a fine paste next morning. Apply the paste to the scalp and hair. You can also add yogurt to this paste for the added benefit. Let the paste rest for an hour then wash with lukewarm water and mild shampoo.

2.    Ginger

Ginger has magical properties to reduce hair fall thus boost hair growth. It makes hair stronger, healthier and shinier. Apply ginger oil in combination with olive oil on your scalp, let it rest overnight.

Hair Pack: Make a smooth paste by blending fresh ginger pieces and water. Squeeze out the juice of this paste using a thin muslin cloth. Apply this juice on scalp and leave it for about 10 minutes, rinse off using shampoo.

3.   Azadirachta Indica

Azadirachta indica is used as an ayurvedic medicine in many hair problems. It is extremely useful to control dandruff and head lice. Boil water and Azadirachta indica leaves; let it cool and make paste. Add honey to the paste to make conditioner for hair. You can use Azadirachta indica oil, powder or leaves to benefit from it.

4.    Curry Leaves

Curry leaves are always used to enhance the flavor of a curry. But it provides nourishment to hair roots, prevents hair fall and treats premature greying of hair. To make oil, boil coconut oil and curry leaves till the oil turns black, let it cool. Massage it on scalp and keep it for about 1 hour; wash using mild shampoo.

Hair Pack: Make a paste using fresh curry leaves; add yogurt to the paste. Apply to scalp and till ends; let it rest for 30 minutes; wash using mild shampoo.

5. Rosemary

Rosemary is an essential treatment for hair loss. To benefit from hot oil treatment, heat 3 tablespoon of olive oil and 5 drops of rosemary oil. Apply this warm oil to scalp. Hot towel treatment: Dip a towel in hot water, squeeze and wrap around your hair for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash your hair to see the difference. You can also drink Rosemary Green Tea available in ayurvedic stores.

6. Basil

Basil is blessed with many properties beneficial for stimulating hair growth and increase in blood circulation; resulting in reduced hair fall. Make a paste of basil leaves; add it to olive oil or any oil of your choice. Apply and keep it overnight. It controls hair loss, itchiness and helps improve blood circulation in scalp.

Hair Pack: Soak basil leaves and amla powder in water overnight. Use this water to wash your hair the next morning. It helps control hair fall and premature greying.

7. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera works miracle for hair. It cleanses, protects hair from damage and nourishes them and provides luster. It helps to control dandruff, itchy scalp, infections and dry hair. It makes hair shinier and healthier. Cut an Aloe Vera leaf and extract gel. Apply it on damp hair using fingers from scalp till ends. Give hot towel treatment. Wash with herbal shampoo.

8.   Indian Gooseberries

Gooseberry is a wonderful herb for hair. It is a rich source of Vitamin C which plays important role in hair growth. Amla is used as a hair conditioner, a trusted treatment for dandruff, prevents hair fall, gives natural shine to hair and nourishes hair from root to locks. Regular use of this herb stimulates hair growth, cures split ends, stops premature graying of hair and strengthens hair follicles. It can be used in oil form and dry powder (hair pack) form.

9.   Eclipta Prostrata

Eclipta prostrata provides multiple benefits for hair. It is herbal conditioner which improves hair growth. Eclipta prostrata powder provides natural color to hair.

Hair Pack: Make a paste using Eclipta prostrata, Gooseberry, Acacia concinna, Azadirachta indica and basil powder. Apply on scalp and hair; leave for about 1 hour. It results in healthy hair growth. It can be used in powder or oil form.

10. Hibiscus

Hibiscus flower is used with its leaves to get the best results. It helps prevent hair fall and premature greying, promotes hair re-growth and helps in curing bald patches.

Hair Pack: Grind few hibiscus flowers and leaves. Add yogurt to this mix to make a thick paste. Apply on the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes; wash using mild shampoo. You can also make hibiscus oil, shampoo and conditioner for best results.

11.   Acacia Concinna

Acacia concinna is useful in treating dandruff and stimulating hair growth. Since Acacia concinna gives drying effect to hair, mix it with some conditioning agent like yogurt to avoid dryness.

Hair Pack: Mix Acacia concinna powder with yogurt and Azadirachta indica paste to make a thick paste. Apply it on scalp for about 20 minutes; wash with mild shampoo.
