A cup of water can be drunk without stopping to take breaths. For the best results of cure you can cap your ears while drinking the water. This is one of the best home remedies.

Holding breath for a long time and then releasing it suddenly can also help in doing away the matter. This is one of the easiest ways to stop the hiccups at a faster rate.

You can take a wide inhale through your mouth and then can bend to the fore pushing your stomach. Be in the same pose for two to three minutes which will be helpful in curing the problem of hiccups very fast.

In many cases of the problem of hiccups, consuming half a cup of yogurt along with a bit of salt is proved to be useful. This is another simple remedy for the trouble of hiccups.

Cardamom powder is known to be best for the treatment of long term hiccups. About 2 grams of cardamom powder can be boiled in about 300 ml of water for about 5 minutes. Drinking the prepared decoction can be valuable in relieving from the annoying problem of hiccups.

Ginger is excellent in curing hiccups at a faster rate. A small piece of fresh ginger can be sucked slowly which is proved to be effective in stopping the problem of hiccups moreover it helps in refreshing our mind.

Lying down on your back is an excellent way to stop the trouble of hiccups. You can lay down for 5 to 10 minutes for the best results.

Breathing deeply by covering your nose and mouth with a clean paper bag can be useful in curing the trouble. This is proved to be a good home remedy for hiccups.

Peanut butter is useful in stopping the problem of hiccups. Take a teaspoonful of peanut butter which is helpful relieving us from the hiccups. This remedy can also be used for stopping hiccups in children.

Being engaged in other activities can help in doing away the matter at a faster rate. You should not care about the hiccups for the best cure. Singing loudly can also help in stopping the hiccups.
