When we are attacked by these pains all we want to do is gulp down a painkiller and get instant relief from the pain. Though this is the easiest way out it is definitely not the safest way of getting relief from these pains. It is therefore better to resort to natural means to get relief from pains. In fact there are some natural food resources which actually help ease down the pain and discomfort.
Ginger has analgesic and anti inflammatory properties which gives relief from pains like migraines, arthritis etc. It is also very effective on stomach disorders and helps in giving relief from discomfort and gas in the stomach. You can include ginger in your food. You can also drink refreshing ginger tea to get relief from pain. Take a cup of water .Add grated ginger to it and boil the solution for few minutes. Strain the solution and add fresh lemon juice and honey and enjoy ginger tea.
Turmeric has a compound called curcumin which gives turmeric its pain relieving properties and also gives relief from inflammation. Turmeric is useful in the treatment of various types of arthritis and also useful in giving relief from sore throat and psoriasis. You can add a teaspoon of turmeric to warm milk and have it at bedtime.
Olive oil is found to have compounds which are similar to ibuprofen and has helps give relief from pains and inflammation. You can use olive oil in cooking or even use it as salad dressing. Make sure that you use extra virgin olive oil.
Yogurt has the good bacteria which has several therapeutic uses. Yogurt is thus found to be very useful in giving relief from medicinal issues like inflammations, stomach gas and even pains. Eat a cup of fresh yogurt daily. Have the unsweetened variety and also you can have one which is prepared from low fat milk to avoid those extra calories.
Salmon is rich in omega 3 fatty acids which help in giving relief from pains, inflammation and even joint stiffness. Thus it is widely recommended for people suffering from arthritis. Always have fish in the baked or steamed form. Avoid frying it.

These grapes contain anthocyanins and vitamin C which helps in reducing pain and inflammation a great deal. Make it a point to have a handful of these grapes daily. You can also have fresh red grapes juice in order to get relief from pain and inflammation.
Green tea has catechins which are believed to give relief from pains and inflammation. Green tea also has a calming effect on the nerves. Take a cup of water and add a teaspoon of good quality green tea. Boil the mixture for some time. Strain and add honey to the solution. Have this refreshing green tea in order to reduce pain.
The caffeine in coffee is found to be a good analgesic and gives relief from pain and inflammations. So enjoy your cup of coffee and get relief from pain. It is mainly effective for pains caused due exercise and work outs.
Garlic has quercetin which helps in giving relief from pains and inflammations. Include garlic in cooking or you can simply chew two garlic pods to get relief from pain.
Soy has phytochemicals called isoflavones which give relief from inflammation and pain. You can have soy in various forms such as soy milk or even tofu depending on your taste buds.
