Tea

Tea is a herb that has been used since a long time to treat symptoms of clod and infection. The tannin in tea is anti-inflammatory in nature. Moreover, tea is full of antioxidants which can fight infections.

A cup of hot tea is capable of diluting the mucus so that it is able to flow. It will also alleviate the inflammation. Therefore, a cup of hot tea twice a day will alleviate the symptoms of sinus headache.

Lavender

The aroma of lavender oil has been found to work quite well against sinus headaches. It has a high content of easter which is anti-inflammatory by nature.

These compounds are also sedative by nature. Therefore, take a bottle of lavender oil and inhale the aroma every day. You will feel much better.

Elderflower

This herb has been used extensively to combat cold and flu symptoms. As cold and flu are mostly responsible for sinus headache you will get a lot of relief from sinus headaches if you take this herb. It is available in capsule form in local pharmacy.

Peppermint

The natural oils contained in peppermint have been used since ancient times to treat inflammations and infections. Peppermint is antibiotic and anti-inflammatory in nature.

You can inhale the aroma of peppermint oil to take in the benefit and cure inflammation. You will feel better if you smear some peppermint oil just below the nostrils at least twice a day.
