Interstitial cystitis also known as painful bladder syndrome is a condition in which the bladder causes intense pain. Onions
Onions are considered to be the humble man’s food but this bulbous root vegetable has been endowed with such wide and varied medicinal values that it has become very precious for curing and healing a vast number of diseases and ailments.
It’s stupendous anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties bring great relief in the symptoms of interstitial cystitis. Grate two big onions and squeeze the mass to extract the juice. Drink this every morning on an empty stomach.
Lemongrass
Lemongrass has great anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and diuretic properties which flush out all the harmful toxins from the bladder, heal the inflamed tissues and destroy any vestige of infection.
Boil a cup of water. Break five to six fresh stalks of lemongrass into small pieces and add it to the water. Allow to stand for ten minutes then filter the tea and drink at least three cups daily for quick relief.
Sesame

Flaxseed oil has huge quantities of omega 3 fatty acids which have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and antihistaminic properties. Interstitial cystitis can also be caused by mast cells which secrete histamines that inflame the tissues in the bladder and cause pain.
The antihistaminic properties of flaxseed oil eliminate the secretion of histamines and keep the bladder strong and healthy. Take two teaspoons of this oil daily, on a regular basis.
Blueberries
Blueberries are extremely rich in quercetin and other flavonoids which have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They calm the inflamed tissues in the bladder and reduce the pain considerably.
They also help flush out all the impurities and the toxins and keep the bladder in a good condition. Eat two cups of fresh blueberries daily.
