Scabies is one of the infectious skin diseases which usually appear like rashes all over the skin. These are very painful and itchy. Scabies are caused by a certain type of human mites commonly known as scabies mites.
These mites cannot be observed with our naked eyes due to its minute size. The mostly infected areas of body are fingers, toe, buttock, waist, shoulders etc. As the scabies rashes appear like common skin eruptions it can be mistook as skin allergy and may be left as such without providing any proper treatments.Thus the disease should be identified at the very earliest to prevent spreading of infection to other family members. Tea tree oil is one of the important home remedy in the case of scabies. Applying a layer of tea tree oil over the infected areas of skin is proved to be very useful in curing the problem completely. Using a mixture of 2 tablespoons of tea tree oil with 100 ml of witch hazel can be prepared freshly. Using this infusion is found to be more effective in the treatment for scabies. The infected person can have a bath in warm water mixed with a few drops of the tea tree oil which is also found to be useful in the treatment.
Margosa oil is another significant home remedy in the case of scabies and several other skin disorders like eczema, acne etc. Margosa oil can be applied over the infected parts of the skin and is found to be beneficial in reducing the itching and pain due to the antibacterial as well as antifungal properties of the same. Applying a layer of freshly prepared paste of margosa leaves can also be regarded as an important home cure in the case of scabies. Vitamin E oil is also proved to be beneficial in the treatment for the problems of scabies.
Using sulphur powder is one of the main home remedies for the problem of scabies. Applying sulphur powder over the infected areas of skin can be regarded as an important method to cure the disease. It is very valuable in eradicating the scabies mites. Using sulphur powder has no side effects and hence can be used in the case of infection in children and pregnant women. Using sulphur creams, lotions or soaps are also tremendous in curing the infection at a faster rate.
Aloe vera is found to be excellent in the treatment for scabies. Aloe vera gel or cream can be applied over the infected skin which is very useful in curing the illness completely. Mint is another important remedy in the case of scabies and other skin disorders. Menthol is a content of mint which provides a cooling effect when applied over the infected skin and hence can help in relieving us from the infection.
Spreading of the infection can be prevented by bleaching the patient’s dresses and sheets. Washing the clothes, combs, towels etc. using hot water can be regarded as an important method to prevent the infection. Wash your face and hands using warm water before going to sleep which will help you to get rid of the infection.
