Causes of Defective Vision
Improper intake of food or an unhealthy food habit can be considered as an important cause for the imperfect vision due to myopia. Mental or emotional stresses can also lead to faulty vision which is regarded as a cause for the disease.
The habit of reading in faint light or sharp light can also cause a defective vision. Watching television for an unlimited time is found to be a major cause for the defective vision. We should avoid reading in a moving vehicle as this can also lead to imperfect visions.
Symptoms of Defective Vision
The problem begins with a distorted vision which is the most important symptom for defective vision. The eyes of the person may start watering because of the strain. The patient may also have a sensation of itching and weightiness in the eyes. These are the symptoms for defective vision or myopia.
Home Remedies For Defective Vision
Vitamin A is essential for the good health of our eyes. Consuming Vitamin A rich food items can be beneficial in improving the eye sight. Vitamin A rich food items like liver, spinach, sweet potatoes, carrots, cabbage, milk, egg yolk, lettuce etc. can be included lavishly in the daily diet of the person having a defective vision.
Honey is known to be an important home remedy in the case of defective vision. About 2.5 ml each of honey and lettuce powder can be mixed well along with ¼ teaspoon of saturated ghee. This mixture can be consumed once in a day along with 200 ml of warm milk. Taking this early in the morning as a first thing is proved to be valuable in curing the defective vision.
Almonds are excellent in the treatment of defective vision or myopia. Four or five almonds can be soaked in water all night and then the outer skin can be peeled off. These almonds can be consumed after chewing them well. This is a very useful remedy for improving the eyesight.
Chicory is an important herbal remedy in the case of defective vision and is found to be using as a remedy over hundreds of years. A small amount of chicory roots can be crushed to powder. About 5 ml of this powder can be mixed with a little of ghee to prepare a paste. This paste can be consumed along with a cup of milk which is very valuable in curing the defective vision.
Carrot juice is proved to be very helpful in the treatment for defective vision or myopia. Daily intake of fresh carrot juice is found to have significant role in preventing the defects of eyesight. About 80 ml of celery juice or parsley juice can also be taken once every day which is useful in curing the imperfect vision.
