5 Excellent Home Remedies For Soft And Rosy Lips

Who doesn’t love soft and pink lips? Even the most expensive lipstick looks worse on dry, chapped and pigmented lips. As we all know lip skin is totally different from the other skin of our body. it is much more thinner than the skin of other parts of our body. apart from this lips have lesser amount of oil glands so it requires some special care. Lets move ahead and check how we can get back those soft , pink and kissable lips.

1. Coconut Oil & Sugar Scrub

Why to spend bucks in buying a different lip scrub when you can actually prepare it at home with ingredients which are readily available at our home. Mix a teaspoon of white sugar or brown sugar with half a teaspoon of coconut oil and half a teaspoon of honey. Mix it well and store in a small container. Use this mixture as a scrub on your lips and scrub for 2 minutes. wash it off with cold water . You will have a soft and plump lips in no time. You can keep this mixture in refrigerator.

2. Beetroot & Lemon

We always try to cover our pigmented lips with lipsticks. But that is not the solutions. Beetroot as we all know is very pigmented . Just apply a fresh juice of it on your lips every night . You will be amazed to see the results in few days . Apart from beetroot you can also apply the fresh lemon juice on your lips. Lemon juice has lightening properties which helps to reduce the pigmentation.

3. Homemade Lip Balm

Lip balm is must in every girls kitty. Let it be a transparent one or the tinted one. it protects the lips from dryness and provides adequate moisture. Market is flooded with many brands. You can even make it at home for yourself. You would need beeswax. You can get it at any medical store or supermarket. If you do not get it you can even use Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Take a small bowl and put beeswax in it. Add one teaspoon of coconut oil in one tablespoon of Beeswax or petroleum jelly. Add couple of drops of peppermint oil. It will give cooling sensation to your lips while applying. mix it well and put it in microwave and keep it till mixture gets melted. Take it out once melted and pour in a small container and keep it in refrigerator. You can also add piece of old lipstick in the mixture to prepare the tinted lip balm.

4. Honey

Honey is known as an excellent remedy to treat the dark and pigmented lips. It is a natural bleach. You can use honey as your over night lip treatment . Scrub your lips well and apply a coat of honey on your lips. Let it work over night and wash off in the morning. With regular usage it would help to lighten the pigmentation and give you pinkish lips in few days.

5. Olive Oil

Olive oil is a rich source of many nutrients, minerals and vitamins. It is widely use in skin care treatment for nourishment and lightening treatment. If you do not have honey available at your home you can use Olive oil as well for your over night lip treatment .Apply a coat of Extra Virgin Olive oil on your lips before sleeping. It would help to get rid of chapped and flaky lips.
