Aloe Vera

This herb has been used extensively since ancient times to treat a variety of skin disorders. Sunburn is one such skin disorders that can be fully taken care of using aloe vera gel. Aloe vera is anti-inflammatory in nature, has a soothing effect on the skin and acts as a moisturizer.

All these qualities will alleviate most of the symptoms of sunburn such as itching, pain and redness. Smear some fresh aloe gel on the affected areas regularly twice or thrice a day. You will notice positive changes within a week.

Chamomile

This is a versatile herb for your skin. It heals wounds, helps the skin relax, and moisturizes the dry skin. All these qualities are perfect receipt for healing sunburn.

An infusion of chamomile herb on the affected areas will bring down the itch and pain, provide a cooling effect and heal the wounds with regular application. It is available in spray form. Apply this spray on the affected areas daily at least twice a day. Sunburn marks will be gone within a few days.

Green Tea

Green tea is a well known antioxidant. It can rid the body of free radicals and toxins that build up when you are suffering from sunburn or some other disease. It also helps to reduce the inflammation and redness on the skin.

Not only that, it has a protective action on the skin cells. So wash your sunburns with a cup of cold green tea twice a day, and also have one or two cups of green tea daily. This will help with sunburn.

Lavender

Lavender herb has been used since ancient times to treat various skin ailments. It has been seen that lavender helps in fast healing of wounds, and provides relief from the itch and pain of sunburn.
