Making your own homemade cleansers works best as you have complete control over the ingredients and you can handpick the ones that suit your skin the best.
Lemon Juice – 3 tablespoons
Honey – 7 tablespoons
Lemon and honey are easily available in all households and work great for clearing oily skin without putting any harmful chemicals on your face. This cleanser can be made in a large batch and store in your refrigerator for future use as well. The citric acid contained in lemon works as a perfect cleanser whereas honey removes impurities and provides a beautiful glow. To prepare this cleanser, mix 3 parts of lemon in 7 parts of honey and mix with few drops of water to get a thin diluted solution. Store the mixture in an airtight container and each morning, use it to wash your face and follow with a moisturizer.
Cucumber – 1

Both cucumbers and tomatoes are the best cleansing agents for oily skin. Cucumber works as a wonderful cooling agent that provides a wonderful freshness to the skin whereas tomato helps in getting rid of eye bags and dark circles. When used together as a face cleanser, they successfully remove all impurities from the skin and keep excess oil at bay. To prepare this face wash, prepare a paste by blending tomato and cucumber together and apply all over the face and neck. Let it work for few minutes and then wash off with plain water to get beautiful refreshed skin.
Extra Virgin Coconut oil – 1 tbsp
Raw Honey – 1 tbsp
Baking Soda – 1 tsp
This skin cleanser works well for cleaning sensitive skin without causing any unwanted side effects that can occur as a result of using store-bought cleansers. Raw honey and baking soda exfoliate and cleanse the skin whereas coconut oil removes the grime and moisturizes the skin at the same time.
Apple cider vinegar – 2 tbsp
Liquid castile soap – 1 drop
Warm Water – 3-4 tbsp
In many cases, people with excessively oily skin often suffer from acne problems. In such cases, this simple but effective apple cider vinegar cleanser will do wonders for your skin. To prepare this face wash, simple mix apple cider vinegar with a drop of liquid castile soap and some warm water to dilute the solution. However, keep in mind that this face wash should not be used daily as apple cider vinegar work as an intense cleanser and can often dry the skin out. So use it once a week to keep acne and bay and cleanse your skin from deep within.
Orange peel powder – 1 tsp
Milk – ¼ cup
All of us know that raw milk is one of the best cleansers to remove all dirt and grime from the skin but it also works as a great moisturizer. Orange peel, on the other hand, help repair dull skin and helps remove impurities and blemishes, while keeping acne at bay due to the presence of phytonutrients. To prepare this natural face wash, simple mix a quarter cup of raw milk with a teaspoon of ground orange peel and mix well. Apply it all over the face and neck using a cotton ball and gently massage for few minutes, before washing off lukewarm water. After using this amazing cleanser for oily skin, you will be left with fresh and brightened skin.
