However, you can undo the damage and that too in a very natural way. You do not need to visit a salon either. There are home remedies for dry damaged hair. Let us explore some of these.

Avocado And Banana

Avocado is rich in essential oils and vitamins that add strength and vitality to the hair. On the other hand banana contains citric acid and amino acids. The amino acids help in protecting the hair from damage, and the citric acid helps to regain the vibrancy and lustre. So a combination of avocado and bananas can be a potent combination for dry damaged hair.

Honey

Honey is rich in minerals and nutrients. It is a good conditioner for your hair. It has another specific property. It helps in retaining moisture.

So it is both a conditioner and moisturizer as well as a nutrient for your hair. Applying honey can benefit your hair by strengthening the hair, adding lustre to it and moistening it. You can apply honey directly on the scalp and hair. Rinse off after about half an hour with a shampoo.

Warm Oil Massage

It has been seen that a massage of the scalp and hair with some hot oil is very good remedy for dry and damaged hair. You can use moisturizing and nutrient oils such as olive oil or almond oil for this purpose. Take some tepid warm oil into your palm and apply on the hair thoroughly. Leave it there for at least half an hour and wash off.

Egg

Egg is full of nutrients, protein and lecithin. This can be very helpful in imparting moisture, shine and strength to your hair. You can add some coconut oil to it so that it is absorbed well by the scalp and hair.

So make a mask with two eggs and some coconut oil. After making it into a paste apply it thoroughly over your scalp and hair. Rinse off after about half an hour.

Yogurt And Cream

Yogurt is a storehouse of nutrients and beneficial bacteria. It contains lactic acid which cleanses the hair and scalp. On the other hand cream can moisturize the scalp because of the fat content. So prepare a mixture of yogurt and cream and apply on the hair and scalp thoroughly.
