Tension of everyday life is the basic cause for low immune status. Take some time out for relaxation in your daily routine so that you are not overloaded with stress or work throughout the day. Yoga is another recommended remedy for increasing immunity levels. Yoga helps in strengthening muscles as well as calming the mind. Practicing yoga regularly can go a long way in improving the overall health of your body. Most people do not realize that stress is an important factor to be considered while treating low immunity problems.

Sleep Adequately

Lack of adequate amount of sleep is another reason why immunity is low. You should get at least 7 hours of sleep during the day. Make sure you sleep for that much time at a stretch instead of taking breaks. Sleep is very essential for the working of various systems of your body and the immune system needs special attention.

In addition to the quantity of sleep, the quality of sleep is also important. So you must have good, sound sleep for atleast 7 hours in a day. You can listen to soothing music before you hit the bed or take a warm bath, such that you get undisturbed sleep during the night.

Food Intake

Make sure you are consuming natural foods and avoiding junk or outside foods. Your diet should consist of green vegetables and fresh fruits. You could also consume sprouts every morning with some fruit juice. Make sure your diet consist of adequate amount of protein which is found in eggs, milk and meat.

Flavonoid rich food such as garlic, berries and yogurt also help in boosting immunity levels in the body. Also remember to include whole grains, nuts and seeds in your diet. Stay away from caffeine drinks like coffee or tea for a while because they depress your immune system. Also stay away from sugar rich food and fatty foods.

Quit Smoking And Alcohol

Cigarette smoking has a very bad effect on your immunity. Quit smoking so that you relax all your body symptoms. The body was made to fight infections, but if you constantly load it, your immune response may fail. Smoking and nicotine can cause harm to the body’s cells and hence it can be harmful to the white blood cells as well.

Along with this, quit alcohol consumption as well. Alcohol results in dehydration of the body and causes more trouble than you can imagine. If you are having trouble quitting, you can join support groups so that your determination stays intact.

Fitness

For a healthy body, you should exercise on regular basis. Improving your overall way of living is very important to boost immunity levels. You don’t have to sweat yourself in the gym for hours but you could try jogging for about 30 minutes in the day or even cycling is a good form of exercise.

Take a brisk walk for atleast 30 minutes every day. When you exercise everyday and keep your body active, blood circulation improves, thus helping in the efficient functioning of the various organs in the body. Staying fit is just as important as eating healthy and remaining stress free.

Increase Intake Of Fluids

Keeping the body hydrated is another necessity to improve immunity levels. You should have atleast 8 glasses of water in a day. Keep a bottle of water at your desk and keep sipping water throughout the day.

You can also increase your consumption of herbal tea, fruit juices and soups to increase fluid intake. When there is enough water intake, it helps in easier flushing out of toxins from the body and helps in improving immunity.
