6 Effective Tips For Tooth Pain

Tooth pain can sometimes get out of hand. People who have experienced it will surely certify that it can be unbearable. Many times a tooth pain is caused due to decaying of the teeth, cavities of the teeth, sensitivity, gum diseases and enamel fissures.

Since we cannot predict when we would get a tooth ache, it is wise to be ready with some natural remedies that help to control the pain and sometimes remove the decaying that has caused the pain as well. Home remedies help in treating the pain effectively without having to visit a dentist for the purpose. Some of the well known remedies for tooth pain are mentioned below for your reference.

Clove Oil

Clove oil is a very popular remedy used for tooth pain. Take some oil and dab on the tooth which pains. Apply every hour until the pain recedes and goes away. Alternately, clove can chewed to eliminate bacterial action and the pain is numbed as well.

Echinacea

Echinacea is known as an immunity boosting herb. Did you know that it can also relieve tooth pain? The herb is even known as ‘toothache plant’ due to its strong properties that can remove tooth pain. A tincture of Echinacea can be used for relieving tooth pain. Use it until the pain is gone and the bacteria are destroyed due to the stronger immunity.

Asafoetida and Lime

Lime juice on its own is a strong remedy for tooth pain. It destroys the bacteria causing the decay and reduces and finally removes the pain. The vitamin C content in lime is good for protecting the teeth from the clutches of dental caries, gum disease and decay. For making a stronger and faster acting natural cure with lime, take asafoetida and add to lime juice to form a paste. Apply on the tooth that pains. Leave your mouth slightly open so that the paste dries on the tooth and exerts its action. Use this mixture 2-3 times a day to remove the tooth paincompletely.

Garlic

A clove of garlic can be crushed lightly and placed on the tooth. Keep it in place and chew on it gently every few minutes so that the juice of garlic is released into the tooth that pains, thereby destroying the bacteria and its action.

Salt Water

Take a teaspoon of salt and add to a cup of water. Swish your mouth with the salt solution and leave it in the mouth for 5 minutes before spitting. The antibacterial and healing action of salt will kill the germs in the oral cavity and remove the decay from your teeth. Alternately, apply some salt directly on the tooth that pains and let it air dry. This too will remove the pain instantly.

Vanilla Extract

Vanilla extract is good for treating pain which can be very severe in the case of serious infection of the tooth. Lie on the couch and apply some vanilla extract drops on the tooth. Leave the mouth slightly open so that the extract dries on the teeth.  This will soon relieve the pain associated with the infection. For the infection of the tooth, one of the above mentioned remedies can be tried.
