Share

Conjunctivitis is mostly a bacterial or viral infection where the outermost layer of the eye known as the conjunctiva gets infected. It is also known as pink eye because the eye gets inflamed and swollen due to the infection and takes a reddish ting. However, conjunctivitis may also be due to some allergic reaction due to some chemical or other substance.

Along with the swelling you may have a itching sensation and watering of the eyes. The common mode of treatment of conjunctivitis is through antiviral or antibacterial drugs. You should adopt impeccable hygiene to heal as well as to prevent conjunctivitis from spreading to the other eye.

For this you should wash your hands with antimicrobial solutions time and again. Along with the hygienic approach you may adopt a herbal approach to heal conjunctivitis. There are some herbs that may heal this problem within a few days. Let us discuss some of the herbal remedies for conjunctivitis.
