The smoothness and glossy effect of the lips can be lost due to having chapped surface. There are many reasons behind this like dehydration, too much of exposure to sunlight, extreme drinking and smoking, licking lips habitually, excess intake of Vitamin A and lack of certain vitamins in our body. Lemon And Honey:

Lemon is a natural bleaching as well as whitening agent and honey is a great moisturizer for our skin. Hence, honey can retain the dampness of our lips. Other than that, it has the ability to eliminate the harmful radicals which can damage the lips. Add some lemon juice to a few drops of honey. Mix them with a little castor oil. Rub this mixture on your lips every night before going to bed. Do this on a daily basis to get improved results.

Cucumber:

The juice extracted from cucumber has the ability to moisten dried lips quickly. You can simply cut a slice of cucumber and place over your lips for some time or apply the cucumber juice on your lips directly 2-3 times daily. This juice can also rejuvenate the damaged and injured skin cells on our lips.

Rose Petals:

Collect a few rose petals and rinse them in water. Soak them in milk for 2-3 hours. The petals will become soft. Make them into a thick paste and apply on your lips. Wait for at least an hour before washing off with water. Rose petals can protect our skin from drying up easily. This treatment can remove the dehydrated cells in our lips and bring back the natural glow.

Aloe Vera:

The white sticky gel extracted from aloe vera plant is useful in many ways. It is used in many home remedies for beauty purposes as well as healing skin inflammations. Aloe vera gel contains compounds with remedial and healing properties for our skin. You can apply this gel directly on your lips frequently. Another plus point of this gel is its protective ability. It guards the thin oily layer on our lips and hence preventing our lips from getting dry.

Flax Seed Oil:

Flax seed oil contains fatty acids which is beneficial in treating chapped lips. It has lubricant and nourishing properties as well. They can seep into the lip tissues and thus making them supple and soft. Rub this oil gently on your lips and massage it for 2 minutes. This technique should be followed at least thrice a week to get beneficial results.

Olive Oil:

This natural and valuable oil is useful for our overall health. It is also used in cooking as olive oil can reduce cholesterol and eliminate the unwanted fats from our body. This oil is a natural moisturizer also. Buy pure virgin olive oil without additives. Apply a few drops on your lips a few times on a daily basis to get optimal outcomes.
