Water hydrates your body which in a way improves stamina to do more hard work hence improving metabolism.
Water is important for proper functioning of kidney as well, so it is advisable to have maximum amount of water to stay healthy and happy.
Science has evolved a lot as so is technology but these advancements have decreased the amount of physical labour. Rather than spending hours sweating it out in the gym, try to do as much physical work as possible. Washing clothes with hands, use brooms instead of vaccum cleaner etc can give your body ample physical workout much more effective than gym. For men going to work, avoid lifts and use stairs try to get up and walk whenever you get breaks in between work. These are simple possible things to do for the sake of own health.
