This article doesn't show a clear understanding of cyclic vomiting since all of the suggestions have to do with ingesting something--taking remedies orally.
Once nausea or vomiting sets in, it is usually impossible for the suffer to keep anything down or even hold anything in his or her mouth. Medications are generally most effective when given intravenously, nasally, or as suppositories because sufferers can't tolerate taking anything orally.
However, many of these herbs may help the sufferer feel better once the vomiting, which can last days, has subsided.
