Always maintain a healthy weight in order to stay healthy during the days of menopause. A balanced and healthy diet that is low in fat is the ideal choice to keep the weight under check.
Alcohol makes your body hot and can cause hot flashes. While you smoke, your blood vessels start constricting which is again a solid reason that could lead to hot flashes. The intake of caffeine too is known to be a cause for leading to hot flashes. In order to prevent the occurrences of menopausal symptoms, make sure that you keep away from unhealthy habits.
Exercise during old age is a great remedy to keep away from almost all kinds of disorders of the body and mind. Make time for light exercises, at least half an hour a day. If you cannot manage half an hour, at least 15 minutes of exercise can make a whole lot of difference to your body.
Finally it is also important to wear layered clothing while you exercise and sleep. An attack of hot flashes can be immediately relieved when you remove a layer from your body.
