8 Top Home Remedies To Heal A Zit

Share

A zit is also better known as a pimple and occurs due to dust, pollution and excessive oiliness of the skin. Zits may occur in clusters or you may suddenly find one springing up from nowhere.

Zits can be annoying especially when you have an important party or meeting to attend and they pop up on your face. While makeup can conceal zits, they tend to get exacerbated with the use of excessive make up. Here are some simple home remedies that can help to heal a zit and give you a clear complexion.

Top Home Remedies To Heal A Zit

Nutmeg Powder

To quickly subside a zit, grind some nutmeg in a blender and make a paste of this powder with some cold, unboiled milk. Dab this on to your zit and wash off after ten minutes. By the evening, your zit would have considerably subsided.

Cinnamon Powder And Honey

Rub a mixture of cinnamon powder and honey on your zit and leave it overnight. Wash your face as soon as you get up in the morning. Cinnamon has medicinal properties that absorbs the excess oiliness from the skin and helps to clear the pimples.

Orange Peel

Dry some orange peels in the sun and grind them into a smooth powder. Make a paste of this powder by putting a few drops of rose water to it. Clean your face and your pimples with this paste. This helps to clear the zit and also cleanses the face effectively.

Methi Leaves

Methi or fenugreek leaves are a great home remedy for tackling with zits. Wash a few leaves and grind them in the blender to form a smooth paste. Now apply this paste to your face and wait for it to dry before washing it all off with cold water.

Neem

If you want a quick solution for an annoying zit that has suddenly cropped up, try some neem leaves. Grind some neem leaves, add a pinch of turmeric to the paste and put some directly on the zit. The neem plant is known for its antiseptic and medicinal properties and helps to clear the complexion.

Face Wash

One way of preventing zits from appearing on your face is to make a homemade face wash. Take some fresh lime juice and add it to a cup of unboiled milk. Mix well and cleanse your face regularly with this solution. This prevents zits from occurring.

Tomato Pulp

If your zit is getting infected and is causing pain, tomato pulp is a good home remedy for this. Grind some tomatoes and use their pulp to cleanse and rub your face. Tomatoes have lycopene which in turn has healing properties.

Homemade Face Pack

A homemade face pack is also likely to be very effective. For this, take some sandalwood powder and mix a few teaspoons of rose water. Apply the paste on your face and let it dry completely before washing it off. Make sure you moisturize your face after you use the pack as it tends to make the facial skin excessively dry.
