Well Hell yes! right? Let’s find out what natural treatments are there that’ll kick the problem out without damaging your hair and scalp.

Natural Ways to Cure Dandruff

The Correct Way to Shampoo

What’s better than washing away the flakes from your scalp? You can make your own anti-dandruff shampoo or even use a mild dandruff fighting herbal shampoo.

Apply the shampoo all over you scalp and hair and massage in well. Let the shampoo stay for at least 3-4 minutes, this enables the active ingredients to penetrate the scalp and start working. Wash off thoroughly and always apply again. Remember to lather well and take care to rinse well else the shampoo residues would adhere to the scalp skin and cause infections.

Hot Oil and Turban Therapy

Dandruff is nothing but dead skin cells. In most cases a dry scalp causes this embarrassing problem. Try out this hot oil therapy. All you need to do is heat up some oil. You can use olive oil, almond oil or coconut oil. Olive oil is the best for this purpose though. These oils are moisturizing agents that can penetrate deep into the scalp, nourish and moisturize it.

Do not heat the oil too much. Apply the oil on the scalp and hair using your finger tips. Massage in circular motions for some time. Prepare some hot water and dip a towel in it. Wring excess water from the towel and wrap it around your head. This is called the turban therapy and helps the oil to penetrate and work. Keep for about an hour and wash off with some mild shampoo.

Shampoo your hair well with a herbal shampoo. Add some vinegar to a mug of water and use it to rinse your hair and scalp. Let the vinegar-water drip on its own, do not wash with water again. Dry your hair as usual. This removes dandruff problems and brings a glossy shine to your hair. You can apply some vinegar directly onto your scalp before a bath. Let the vinegar remain for 5 minutes and then shampoo as usual.
