How To Cure Bladder Infection

Bladder InfectionBladder infections are very common in women and rare among men. Most women get a bladder infection at some point in their lives. The opening of a woman’s urethra lies close to the vagina and the anus therefore it is easier for the microbes to enter the urinary tract and find their way to the bladder. Most bladder infections are caused by bacteria and they are not dangerous if treated right away-before they have time to infect the kidneys.

The strains of the E. coli bacteria live in the gut. These bacteria can gain an entry into the bladder through the urethra by having frequent vaginal sex and then not maintaining proper hygiene. Pregnant women are also more prone to this infection as their urinary tract changes in response to hormones and increased kidney function. Bladder infections can cause fever, severe itching in the vagina, pain and burning during urination and frequent and urgent need to urinate.
