In the present technical era everybody works in front of a computer and the working period remains for a long period without having any break and due to this your eyes may get affected. To get relief from eye strain, gently massage your eyes and eyelids on a daily basis, so as to increase the circulation of blood to the eyes and muscles to get relax feel around the eyes. To massage the eyes, olive oil is the best. Use your fingers to massage the eyelids and the muscle above the eyebrows for 30 seconds. Then do massage on the lower eyelids, for the same time. Massage the upper cheek bones and temple. Do this for 2 to 3 times a day and follow it regularly.

Palming is a great way to provide relief to eyes. It is especially useful for those who work in front of a system or watch television for a long time. Sit in open air and in a comfortable position. Then, put your palms together and rub it against each other to create warmth. With warmth in your palms, place your palms (vertical-wise) on the closed eyes without touching eyelids.  Enjoy and calm down in the darkness for 30 seconds. After that open your eyes slowly and take a look around you. Repeat the exercise for 3 to 5 times every day.

The exercise is about looking at the sun in the very early morning hours. Taking sun rays into your eyelids is the best way to remove strain around your eyes. Sit in an open space from 8AM to 10 AM and look directly at the sun. Looking at the sun with your naked eye can increase vitamin D in your body. Now, close your eyes and allow the sun rays or sunlight to fall on your eyelid. Now, you will feel the heat in your eyes and sit in the sun for 10 minutes.

Doing regular exercises will reduce the strain on your eyes and will improve blood circulation in your eyes, gives you a greater concentration and memory power. First, hold a pencil or pen in front of your eyes at arm’s distance and focus your attention on it. Then, bring the pencil or pen closer to your eyes without losing concentration and move the pencil or pen in the same manner. Repeat the exercise for 10 to 15 times. Now take a break and repeat it for 5 times and a few hours to practice.

Getting cold water treatment also gives relief from strain. It enhances blood circulation and reduces pain around the eye muscles. Splash cold water on your face and in your eyes in both closed and open condition. Follow the exercise whenever you feel about the strain on your eyes. For immediate relief, put a cloth in water and then place it on your both eyes in the closed condition.

The exercise is to reduce pain in your eyes. Take a towel and dip it in humid water and release the surplus moisture. Sit in a comfortable position and place the towel on your eyes and breathe normally for a minute. Repeat the exercise for 1 to 2 times a day.

Rose water reduces eye strain and it is a natural relaxer. First, splash cold water on your eyes and take out the water with a towel. Now, take two cotton balls and immerse it in rose water. Then, place the wet balls on your closed eyes and do it twice a day.
