Turmeric And Carom Seeds
Turmeric is well known for its antibiotic and antiseptic properties and is used as a natural cure for many ailments. Take one tablespoon of turmeric powder and I tablespoon of carom seeds and put them in a glass of boiling hot water. Boil this solution till it reduces to half and then add honey to it.
Consume this 2-3 times daily in order to get rid of chest congestion. You can also drink one glass of warm milk with 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder added to it. Ginger
Ginger is also known for its medicinal properties and can be applied in the effective treatment of various illnesses. You can make a home made cough syrup by adding ½ tablespoon of pepper powder, ½ tablespoon of ginger paste, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon vinegar.
You can take this syrup 2-3 times a day with 1 tablespoon of water. Ginger is especially helpful is your airways and lungs are congested with mucus as it is an effective expectorant and is a great food that cure cough.
Cloves
Take some oil in a pan and fry 2-3 cloves in it. Chewing these fried cloves will give great relief from bouts of coughing. You can do this regularly to get relief from your cough.
