5 Best Herbal Remedies For Sore Throat

Share

A sore throat causes extremely distressing symptoms which can make one really ill. Pain, hoarseness, a scratchy feeling, croaky voice, difficulty in swallowing, a dry itch and a feeling that something is continually stuck in the throat are some the disagreeable characteristics of a sore throat. The common cold, influenza, overuse of the voice, allergies, cigarette smoke, air pollutants and bacterial and viral infections can all lead to a sore throat.

The tissues in the throat become inflamed, red and swollen and cause a lot of pain and discomfort. Because viral infections are the predominant cause of a sore throat, you should desist from taking antibiotics to treat it as they not only have harmful side effects but also kill the healthy bacteria in the body which help to fight and ward off infections and thus decrease the body’s immunity.
