The anthrax bacterium lives in the soil in a dormant form known as spores. These spores are very tough and literally indestructible and they can survive in the soil for more than fifty years. Anthrax usually infects farm animals like goats, cattle sheep and horses and humans contract the disease by contact with infected animals or by using their products. The infection can also be spread by bioterrorist attack or by biological warfare.
This disease cannot be spread from person to person and humans contract it specifically in three ways. The bacterium usually enters the body through the skin which is the most common form of infection and which causes sores on the skin. Another way is by ingesting the carcasses of dead animals which are infected with anthrax and this leads to serious disease. The most fatal form is inhalation of anthrax. In this condition, the bacteria travel to the lymph glands in the chest where they breed and spread and produce toxins that often cause death.
Home Remedies For Anthrax
Turmeric
Turmeric has powerful antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties which can inhibit the growth of all bacteria. Its main compound known as curcumin has powerful antioxidant properties which scavenge all the harmful pathogens from the body and destroy them on the spot.
These compounds reduce the swelling in the lymph nodes and alleviate the pain in the muscles. Turmeric also strengthens the immune system and enables it to defend the body against anthrax. Mix one teaspoon of turmeric powder into a glass of hot milk and consume it twice daily.
Green Tea
Green tea has superb antioxidant properties which not only expel the bacteria and the toxins from the body but also boost immunity and the effectiveness of the white blood cells. Drink three to four cups of green tea daily.
Ginger And Honey
The anthrax bacteria can also invade the bowel and cause loss of appetite, fever, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Ginger as we all know has very strong antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which are more effective than pharmaceutical antibiotics.
Ginger can also induce sweating thereby helping to eliminate the toxins through the sweat. Boil a cup of water and add one grated teaspoon of ginger to it. Simmer for a few seconds then turn off the heat. After ten minutes strain the tea, add one teaspoon of honey and drink this tea four times a day.
Garlic
The anthrax bacteria can be easily defeated by garlic which has natural antibiotic properties and which strengthens the immune system and enables it to block the toxin production. Swallow four cloves of garlic with some water every morning.
Black Pepper
Black pepper is the king of all spices and contains invaluable medicinal values which help to cure a wide range of diseases and disorders. Crush seven peppercorns and mix them with a teaspoon of honey.
Eat this mixture slowly chewing the peppercorns well. Eat this mixture three times daily to curb the growth of the bacteria in the lymph nodes of the chest and to prevent the release of toxins.
