Effective 5 Herbal Remedies For Shingles

Share

Shingles is a skin infection caused by the herpes zoster virus. People who have had chickenpox in their early years carry the virus in the nerve tissues in their bodies in a dormant state. This virus becomes active in adulthood due to a weakened immune system and erupts in the form of painful blisters on the trunk of the body, along the peripheral nerve. Generally it occurs in people who are over fifty but nowadays any one can have it. The red painful rash can also occur on one side of the face, neck and chest.

The blisters fill up with fluid and start oozing after some time. There is fever, chills, intensive itching and burning, headaches and nausea. Sometimes the symptoms and a sharp stabbing pain persist even after the blisters have healed. Food allergies, reaction to certain medicines, stress, liver exhaustion, histamine reaction, poor blood circulation and constipation can also trigger shingles.
