Alternately you can soak them in hot water overnight and consume the water first thing in the morning. Ginger

Consuming ginger and drinking ginger tea is guaranteed to give you relief from gas and bloating. You can add some ginger to your food if desired.

This prevents bloating. Chew on some grated ginger with honey soon after eating from symptomatic relief from gas.

Caraway Seeds

Add caraway seeds spice to your meals. This spice is said to prevent cramping and indigestion that is a direct fallout of gas and bloating.

Parsley

Garnishing your food with fresh parsley leaves is an effective remedy to prevent intestinal gas and bloating.

You can also use parsley as a dried spice which is more effective in preventing gas and bloating related problems.

Probiotics

Peppermint

Chewing on some fresh peppermint or adding a few drops of peppermint oil to a glass of cold water and drinking this can prove to be beneficial against excessive flatulence.

Exercise

Try to get in as much exercise as you can. Exercise helps the food to not only get digested but prevents bouts of acute bloating. In fact it is highly recommended to take short walks after every meal.

Eating Fibrous Foods

Eating foods that are high on fiber like oats, multi grain chapattis, fruits and veggies can help to give relief from gas as well as constipation. Up your fibre intake and try to consume at least 5-6 servings o fiber in your diet to alleviate symptoms of gas and bloating.

Chamomile Tea

Another great colon cleanse remedy is chamomile tea. This not only disinfects the digestive tracts and removes toxins but also paves the way for a smoother digestive process thus giving you relief from heartburn, constipation and gas.

Lemon Tea and Honey

Starting your day with lemon tea and honey is a great way of getting rid of digestive blues and getting your tummy rid of intestinal and gas related problems.

Turmeric

Adding turmeric to your food ensures that excess gas is not formed in your stomach. Turmeric also acts like an antiseptic and prevents digestive infections which cause bloating and diarrhea. Make it a point to include plenty of turmeric in your foods as well as in your diet.

Restrict the Use of Straws

It is very important to not have carbonated beverages with straws as this allows you to also swallow a lot of air in the bargain thus compounding the problem of gas and bloating. In fact it is better to consume all your drinks with a cup or a glass as this helps to reduce the incidence of gas.
