It is believed that peptic ulcers are caused due to stress, improper diet and poor lifestyle. It can also be caused due to bacteria known as H.pylori bacteria. If peptic ulcers are not treated on time, it can worsen, causing bigger problems. There are many medical solutions to this problem, but curing it the natural way is the best way to do it. Here are some natural cures for peptic ulcers.
Banana is known to be a miracle fruit. Banana is also very good in the treatment of peptic ulcer. Eating 2-3 bananas with a glass of milk will help heal peptic ulcer. Continuing this diet everyday will protect one from further attacks of peptic ulcer. Pine apple is another fruit which has anti ulcer compounds and hence is very good in the treatment of peptic ulcer.
It can be consumed directly as a fruit or one can have the juice of pineapple. One can also prepare a cocktail of fresh fruits which is good for healing peptic ulcers. Take some chopped bananas, pineapples, melons and papayas. Add cinnamons, cloves, ginger and two tablespoons of honey to it. Mix well and have this fruit cocktail twice a day.
Cabbage is another medicinal miracle vegetable. Boil some cabbage approx around 200gms, in water for around 8-10 minutes. Let this cool down, and then have this extract 2-3 times a day everyday for around a week.
You can also extract juice from a fresh cabbage and have it 1-2 times a day for a week, but since the fresh cabbage juice is very strong in nature, mix it with a little carrot juice before consuming it.
Although some may say that ginger is not good for heartburns, it is actually good for ulcers because it has a good amount of anti ulcer compounds. Cut ginger into small pieces and chew it by sucking as much juice as you can from it.
You can also extract the juice of ginger and can take 1-2 teaspoons at least two times a day. Similarly, garlic also has anti bacterial properties and helps in curing peptic ulcer. Consuming atleast 2-3 cloves of garlic at least three times a day helps in treating this condition.
In addition to consuming foods which helps in curing peptic ulcer, one must also make certain lifestyle changes when suffering from ulcer. You must practice meditation and yoga to relieve yourself from any stress and soothe your mind. This is because stress aggravates ulcer.
Avoid alcohol, smoking, caffeine, citrus juices and spicy food which irritate the stomach. You must practice eating in small quantities and in small intervals throughout the day, rather than eating three large meals. This helps in better digestion as well.
Drinking the juice of aloe vera two to three times a day can help heal peptic ulcer. This also helps in reducing the irritation in the stomach. At the same time, applying aloe vera gel externally on the stomach area also helps in cooling.
Honey with its antibacterial and antimicrobial qualities helps in the treatment of peptic ulcer. One tablespoon of honey three times a day helps in reducing acidity and healing the stomach.
A healthy lifestyle, proper diet and sufficient exercise are important in treating peptic ulcers.
