You can also extract the ginger juice to rub it on your belly to find cure from abdominal pain. Some research works also suggest that the efficacy of ginger increases if paired with peppermint. Plant sterols in ginger accelerate the digestion process. Moreover the component called gingerol is a strong anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory helping to increase the performance of digestive juices.
Peppermint tea is a popular remedy for stomach aches. Prepare the brew, by boiling some 20-30 peppermint leaves in a cup of water and sweeten this by adding a spoon of honey.
You can make this brew more effective by adding a few drops of lemon juice to it, else you can also simply chew the mint leaves. Peppermint has menthol and menthone to improve bile release that can aid digestion. Also these peppermint contents can help relax abdominal muscles that are turned towards the cramps and pains.
Lemons have long been used for abdominal cures. To 50 ml warm water, add 2 teaspoons of lime juice, and some black salt and consume it thrice a day. Also lemon juice works best with a few drops of ginger juice and a little of dry mint leaf powder /mint juice added to it.
Lemons have ascorbic acid that helps to kill bacteria causing stomach ache. They are good anti-oxidants and can help increase stomach juices for faster and smooth digestion while removing the cramps.
Chamomile tea is a common green tea found in health stores. You can also buy dried Chamomiles to prepare this tea. Dried Chamomiles can be boiled in water and flavored with honey and lemon to use it for achy gut. They are anti-microbial and anti-oxidants. They also act as a relaxant to the upper abdominal muscles, thus reducing the stomach distress.
Roast a few cumin seeds, powder them and mix it with curd and add a pinch of salt. Since it helps in easing digestion by helping increase digestive juices, this is a great remedy for stomach pain induced due to indigestion and over-eating.
You need to choose curds with live cultures, they have friendly bacteria to get rid-off the bad bacteria. Curd also helps in absorption of food.
Pomegranate juice and its seeds are wondrous for stomach aches. Mix the juice of 1 pomegranate and add it to a glass of sugarcane juice. Take this juice 4 times a day. You can also take powdered seeds of pomegranate with a little salt and a pinch of black pepper. Anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti bacterial properties in pomegranate are curative of all sorts of stomach infections and further complications.
Asafetida is used to prevent gas, ease digestion, abdominal parasites and heal cramps. Asafetida is a good anti-flatulent and has sedative properties for relief in gas troubles and pains.
Make a paste of asafetida powder and water. Rub this paste around your belly. This will soon help to release the wind from stomach against flatulence. For grouchy gut mix a little asafetida powder and salt in a cup of warm water and consume this solution.
Anise tea is a popular drink in Middle East to bed down bellyaches. This is a divine and soothing drink to sip for pain in stomach. Boil 2 teaspoons of aniseeds in 1 ½ cups of water and boil another 1 ½ cup water with tea leaves.
Strain and mix both, and add some lemon and honey for flavoring. Anethol content makes it carminative in nature. It is anti-spasmodic and a capable sedative also, making it virtuous against stomach pain.
Out of many herbs at home, for settling tummy ache caraway seeds are the ones easily obtainable. Chew one teaspoon of caraway seeds with a little salt and have a cup of water immediately.
The oils in this seeds immediately start working on stomach spasms and gas in stomach. Caraway seeds have accomplished carminative properties to combat and soothe spasms and bloating. Aroma in these seeds can ease digestion as well.
