Sweating helps control the bodily temperature and is natural till you look like you’ve just dipped yourself in a bucket of water. Personally I suffered from Hyperhidrosis (yes! they have a medical term, so I guess it isn’t normal!), I would sweat like a pig even in an air conditioned room and I am not alone, I have come across people who could make a sea just by sweating ,with or without any reason at all. Herbal Remedies For Excessive Sweating
Sage
Sage is hailed as the best herb to treat this embarrassing problem. Sage is rich in thiamine and magnesium that soothe the sweat gland and calms the nerves. Rosmarinic acid present in it inhibits excess production of sweat in the glands.You can prepare a concoction of sage by simmering 2 cups of water along with about 20-30 fresh sage leaves for 3-4minutes max. Cool it and then drink. Have atleast 2 preparation daily. But, the good thing about this herb is that it tastes good so you can add it to your salads, curries, soups and any other food.
Asparagus
Asparagus has been used traditionally used in Chinese medicine to treat Hyperhidrosis. It is a diuretic and has a chemical called asparagin that decreases sweat production in the body. Asparagus can be steamed, boiled or cooked and made a part of your daily food intake. You can also pickle asparagus.
Schisandra Berry
Schisandra grows in China and Unites states and the tiny red berries from the tree are well known for its medicinal properties. In fact the berries have been a part of traditional Chinese medicine.The berry is an adaptogen which helps the body to cope up with emotional as well physical stress and decreases excessive sweating. Prepare a Schisandra berry tea, by adding 10-12 berries in 4 cups of water, simmer for about 20 minutes, cool it and drink. Drink atleast 3 cups daily.

Astragalus
Another well known Chinese herb that can curbs excessive sweating. Excessive sweating is often thought to be problem of the spleen and Astragalus can revitalize the spleen and make it healthy thereby reducing the amount of stress produced. You can prepare an Astragalus tea by dicing 2 tablespoons of its root and simmer it in 3 cups of water for about 5 minutes. Let it cool and drink. Drink 1 cup of the drink daily.
St Johns Wort
St Johns wort can help you control sweating. It actually targets to control anxiety and stress and in the calming effort of the herb it also stops perspiration.The best method of taking the herb is by making an herbal tea with some dried herb. Simmer 1 teaspoon of the dried herb in 1 cup water for 3 minutes. You may add honey for taste.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil comes from a tree called Melaleuca alternifolia. Tea tree can control sweating and has both antiseptic and deodorizing properties. If you have sweaty or stinky palms and soles you can add tea tree oil to some water and immerse your palm/foot to get rid of the smell Remember to avoid ingestion of the oil internally as it’s toxic.
