Home Remedies For Bloating

Share

Bloating is a common condition which we all experience from time to time. It is associated with digestion. When there is excess gas in the body bloating takes place. If the food that we eat, is not digested properly the bacteria present in the intestines start decomposing it which gives rise to gases in the stomach and the intestines.

These gases exert a lot of pressure in the stomach and cause a persistent tight and heavy feeling in it followed by cramping pains. Too much gas buildup can also cause nausea, vomiting, chest pains and a lot of burping and flatulence. Your appetite vanishes and you feel uneasy all the time.

The gases trapped inside the intestines produce malodors which are very embarrassing and cause great discomfort. Sometimes bloating also occurs due to undue stress and anxiety, constipation, disorders of the digestive tract and over eating.

Tips To Cure Bloating Naturally

Fennel Seeds

Chew one teaspoon of fennel seeds after every meal.  The carminative properties of fennel seeds relieve flatulence by expelling the excessive gases and provide immediate relief. You can also drink fennel tea to reduce the discomfort and stomach pain. Boil two teaspoons of fennel seeds in one glass of water till the quantity is reduced to half. Strain the decoction, add a teaspoon of honey and drink it hot.

Take a betel leaf and put one clove in it. Fold the leaf several times and place it in your mouth. Chew the quid slowly to allow the full extraction of its juice.
