Aloe Vera cools the skin and hence a great treatment for burns. As soon as you have burnt your fingers, you can apply a thick coat of fresh aloe gel extracted from the aloe leaf. This has to be done after you have washed the area under cool flowing water. This treatment will help in cooling the burnt skin and preventing scar formation. Aloe Vera gel will also help in the healing process and the burn will be gone in no time without forming any infection on the skin.
One of the simplest ways by which you can prevent the burn from forming blisters, use cold water from the tap or refrigerator for washing the burnt skin. This will help in numbing the pain and also in cooling the affected skin.
Remember not to use water that is too cold as it can lead to a shock if the wound is of a higher degree. Keep applying cold water several times until the burning sensation is reduced and the skin starts healing.
Honey is a natural moisturizing and healing agent and used best for treating the burnt skin and also for preventing foreign materials and bacteria from entering the wound and causing infections. Honey will also prevent blisters from forming, which can cause scars on the skin. Apply a thick coat of organic honey on the affected finger and leave it on all throughout the day. Milk is supposed to be a calming and soothing agent and can be used on a burnt finger as well for soothing irritated skin. To heal and treat a burnt finger, apply fresh and unadulterated milk that is cool on the affected skin.

Rich in vitamin E, oatmeal can soothe and heal the burnt skin as well. When the burnt skin starts healing, it can start itching as well due to the accumulation of dead cells on the skin surface. To prevent the itchiness and scratching, make a paste of oatmeal with water and apply a thick coat on the skin surface. Leave it on and apply fresh coats until the skin is fully healed.
Salt is a natural healing agent and also has mild antibacterial properties as well. Apply salt on the burnt finger after you have cooled it with cool water. Use a gauze for covering the area after applying a coat of salt.
It could sting badly, but it is one of the best natural remedies for healing burnt skin naturally. You can also rinse the area with salt water frequently to get the same result.
Tea bags have anti inflammatory properties due to the tannic acid present in it. For using on burns, take 2 tea bags and brew a tea. The bags can be cooled and applied on the burnt finger. Use the tea for rinsing the area after cooling it. Tannic acid also has cooling properties and helps in removing the heat from the burnt skin.
Mint leaves too can be used for cooling the burnt finger. Take two cups of fresh mint leaves and make a tea by adding one cup of boiling water and three tea bags as well. Steep for ten minutes and strain the concoction.
Cool it in the refrigerator for fifteen minutes and then use a cotton ball or wash cloth for treating the burnt skin. This will help the skin to cool and heal as well. Apply frequently all throughout the day.
The white of an egg will help in preventing collagen damage and scar formation as well and heal the skin of the burn in a few hours. After treating the skin with cool water, apply egg white on the affected area. Beat the egg white thoroughly so that it is easy to apply on the skin. Repeat application by giving an overcoat every few hours. Leave it overnight and the next day, the burn will be completely healed.
The skin of potato is a common thing that can be easily found in the kitchen and hence a quick remedy to treat a burnt finger. Remove the potato skin after boiling the potato. Place the potato peel over the burnt area and secure it in place with a duct tape.
You can place a fresh piece every one or two hours. This will prevent the skin from remaining moist and also prevent foreign particles from entering the wound and causing infection.
The leaves of plantain are rich in tannic acid and are also mucilaginous in nature. This will help in keeping the burnt skin from forming into blisters and will also heal the burn naturally. For treating the burn, take a plantain leaf and crush to extract the juice. Apply on the burnt finger. Do this several times until the burn heals.
The astringent qualities of vinegar help in keeping the bacteria away from the burnt skin. It acts as a mild antiseptic and prevents blistering of the skin and infection.
Take equal amounts of vinegar and water and mix well. This water can be used for rinsing the wound frequently. It could sting initially, but is an excellent remedy for healing the burnt finger instantly.
