7 Home Remedies For Dark Circles

Dark circles around the eyes can be hereditary or a part of aging process.They affect the confidence of a person. Improper blood circulation under the eyes can also cause dark circles. Whatever is the reason, dark circles are hard to conceal with cosmetics alone. You need to find a more effective solution to prevent and reduce dark circles.

This can be done with simple home remedies. You must use these remedies regularly and for at least two to four weeks to get the desired results. Don’t lose patience and hope while trying the home remedies for dark circles mentioned below.

Tips To Cure Dark Circles Naturally

Water

Water keeps your body hydrated and it helps to maintain soft and supple skin around the eyes. It prevents dark circles that occur due to aging process as it prevents shrinkage of the skin. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water in a day to reduce dark circles.

Almond Oil

Almond oil contains vitamin E. It is an excellentskin tonic. It prevents wrinkles and aging lines around the eyes and helps to reduce dark circles.

Take a few drops of almond oil on the tip of your ring finger and gently massage the eyes in circular motions for 2-3 minutes. Wipe the eyes with moist cotton after 10 minutes. Do it two times a day to reduce dark circles.

Cucumber

Cucumber tones the skin and it helps to lighten dark circles. Grate a cucumber and squeeze out the juice. Chill the juice and apply it on dark circles with the help of a cotton ball.

Place the cotton on eyelids and relax for ten minutes to let the juice work. Remove cotton and wipe your eyes with soft wet cloth.

Potato

Potato has bleaching properties. It is the best natural bleach for skin lightening. Potato is an anti wrinkle agent too, it effectively removes dark circles and it smoothens the skin around the eyes. To treat dark circles; place thin slices of fresh potato on the eyes and leave it on for 10 minutes to let the juice absorb in the tissues.

Afterwards remove the potato and wipe eyes with moist cottonGrate a potato and squeeze out the juice. Add a few drops of lemon juice and chill it. Dip cotton balls in the juice and put them on the eyes. Lie down and relax. Remove the pads after 10 minutes and wipe clean the eyes with a wet cloth.

Rose Water

Rose water tones the skin around eyes and it helps to rejuvenate tired eyes. Dip cotton pads in cold rose water and keep it on the eyes for 15 minutes. Rose water will penetrate under the skin and it will absorb all the toxins and help to reduce dark circles.

Mint

Crush a few leaves of fresh mint leaves and apply on the eyes. Make sure to keep your eyes closed to prevent the juice from entering the eyes. Remove after 10 minutes and wash the eyes with normal water.

Adequate Sleep

Inadequate sleep makes your eyes puffy and swollen and it causes dark circles. Make sure to get 6-8 hours of sound sleep to prevent dark circles.
