Start By Drinking Lots Of Water

Water provides the required moisturizing to your scalp and removes toxins, thereby making your hair smooth. Ideally, you should drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day.

Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek seeds contain nutrients that can help restore the strength and moisture in case of dry hair. Soak fenugreek seeds overnight in water. Next morning, strain the water and grind these seeds to make a smooth paste. Apply this paste on your scalp and leave it to dry. Wash it off with warm water, using a mild shampoo and condition the hair afterwards. Using this paste will not only remove the dryness of your hair, but also solve other problems of your scalp.

Curd And Aloe Vera Gel

Curd and Aloe Vera gel, both are known for their conditioning properties. You can apply them on your scalp to provide the required moisture to your hair and prevent its dryness. To use them, take equal parts of curd and aloe Vera gel and mix them together.

Apply this mixture on your scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash off using plain water and try avoiding shampooing that day. Using this remedy twice a week can bring your hair back to being healthy and soft.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The cleansing and conditioning properties of Apple cider vinegar can be used to treat dry hair. Mix apple cider vinegar and water in the ratio of 1:2 and transfer them into a spray can. Spray this diluted ACV on your hair. Be careful to avoid spraying on scalp. It will make your hair soft and reduce the dryness.

Hair Oils

Massaging your scalp with castor oil, olive oil or coconut oil, at least one hour before shampooing reduces breakage of your hair and keeps it moisturized. You can also massage your scalp with aromatic essential oils to keep their moisture intact and facilitate secretion of oil from oil glands.

Beer

Beer is not only good for drinking, but can also be used as a conditioner for the treatment of dry hair. Rinsing your hair with beer after shampoo restores its moisture and removes dryness. Beer can also restore the shine of your hair on regular usage.

Banana And Honey Paste

Banana contains nutrients that can improve the health of your hair and honey is an excellent conditioner. Therefore, you can use both of them to get rid of dry and dull hair. Take two ripe bananas, remove their peel and mash them.

Add two teaspoons of honey to them and mix well. Apply this paste on your hair and keep it for thirty minutes. Wash it off with plain water and then with mild shampoo. It is an excellent home remedy for dry hair.

Seeds And Nuts

You can include more of seeds and nuts in your diet to get rid of dull and dry hair. These contain fatty acids, which are very helpful in restoring the color, shine and health of your hair and making them soft and silky.

Eggs

Take two eggs and beat them together. Add one tsp of olive oil and some drops of lemon juice to these beaten eggs. Mix them well and apply the mixture on your scalp. Leave it for one hour or till it dries and then wash it off with mild shampoo. It is one of the most trusted and tested remedies for dry hair.

Mayonnaise

You can apply mayonnaise on your hair and scalp for reducing the dryness of your hair. Apply a handful amount of mayonnaise on your hair and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse it off using a mild shampoo and conditioner to get healthy and smooth locks.

Avoid Too Much Experimenting With Your Hair

You can change your looks and experiment with your hair, but do not exceed them too much, as they can damage your beautiful locks. Avoid using too many chemicals on your hair and always use a mild shampoo. Also, don’t forget to condition your hair after shampoo, and avoid excessive use of hair dryer.
