Most of these remedies and essential oils that can be massaged on to the hair for strengthening the scalp and follicles and repairing the damage caused to them.
Vinegar is an excellent remedy for removing fungal action and also for removing dandruff and head lice from the hair. It is also an excellent remedy for leaving your hair clean and shining as well. Take some vinegar and apply on the scalp and hair. Leave it on for half an hour before rinsing it off. Vinegar will help in removing the dead skin cells on the scalp and this will help the scalp to remain healthy and clean as well and encourage hair growth. Apply at least twice a week.
The yolk of the egg is rich in minerals and vitamins and the protein in the egg will nourish your hair and bring back its lost shine and richness. Egg yolk is also a natural conditioner that can give that extra bounce and softness to your hair. Take an egg yolk and beat it well to form a froth. Apply on the scalp and hair and allow it to dry. After about half to one hour, wash with a shampoo. Egg yolk helps in repairing dull and brittle hair and will also take care of split ends and dryness of the hair, leaving your hair shining and well nourished.
Mayonnaise is rich in fat and this can help replenish dull and dry hair and give that extra sheen to your hair that has been missing since long. Moreover, mayonnaise is also a good remedy for lice and nits that could have damaged your scalp and led to dead skin accumulation on the scalp. Take some mayonnaise in your fingers and massage on to the scalp and hair. Let it stand for one hour. Cover your head with a hot towel during this time. Wash off with a mild shampoo. This can be done 3-4 times a week depending on how dry your hair is.
Avocados too are high in fat content and can immediately make your hair rich looking and shiny with all the nourishment and protection that it offers. Take some avocados and blend it in a blender so that it becomes smooth like a paste. Apply this on the scalp and hair and allow it to stay for an hour. Wash off with a mild shampoo. Your hair will be wonderfully nourished and the fat in avocados will impart a rich glow to your hair as well. Repeat 3-4 times a week.
Bananas are also wonderful hair softening agents and will leave your hair smooth and shining if you have brittle and dull looking hair. Mash a ripe banana and apply on the hair and scalp. Leave it for an hour and rinse off. This is an excellent way to add shine and glory to dull and lifeless hair that looks brittle and unhealthy. Continue the treatment every day for best results. You can add wheat germ oil as well to the mash to increase its effect.
Rubbing alcohol on your hair is a great way to add shine to hair that is dry and dull looking hair and also for repairing damaged hair. One of the most sought after remedies for hair repair is beer, which can also add a lustrous shine to your hair. Take some beer and add this to your regular oil. Massage on to the head and allow it to remain for an hour. Wash off after this. Do this 3-4 times a week for naturally beautiful hair.
Basil leaves are rich in antioxidants and can be used for repairing dull and dry hair as a result of excessive sun exposure and environmental pollution. Take some basil leaves and crush them gently. You can either make a paste of it and apply on your hair and scalp or boil it with adequate water and use it for rinsing your scalp and hair.
Chamomile helps in conditioning the hair naturally. It is also an excellent treatment for greasy hair. Chamomile oil can be added to sweet almond oil or jojoba oil and then massaged on the head for best results. Leave it on for an hour before shampooing your hair. Chamomile tea can also be used for application on the scalp as well as hair for soothing the scalp and also nourishing it. Drinking chamomile tea is known to stop hair fall used due to stress.
Lavender essential oil too is very soothing and relaxing to the scalp and will help replenish dry hair, greasy hair, hair that is chemically treated, dandruff and for thinning hair. Take a few drops of lavender oil and add some sweet almond oil or olive oil to this. Warm it slightly before massaging your scalp and hair. Allow the oil to penetrate the scalp and hair for an hour before washing it off. Repeat 4-5 times a week.
Rosemary oil too is an excellent remedy for treating dull and lifeless hair, hair that is damaged due to chemical treatment, oily hair, thin and lifeless hair and also for curtaining hair fall as well. Rosemary oil imparts health and nourishment to normal hair as well and helps in making the hair thicker and more beautiful. Take a few drops and add it to olive or jojoba oil. Heat the mixture and apply on the scalp and hair. Leave it for a few hours before washing it off. This can be done 2-3 times a week for great looking hair.
Lemon is another simple and wonderful remedy for taking care of a host of hair problems like dull and lifeless hair, dandruff, lice and fungal infections of the hair. Lemon will also clean your hair off dirt and grime and add a freshness and shine that has been lacking all these years.
