Home Remedies For Stuffed Up Nose
Tea Tree Oil
Boil some water in a pan. Place the pan on a table and add a few drops of tea tree oil to it. Sit at the table and bend your head over the pan. Throw a large towel over your head so as to cover you and the pan completely.
Inhale the hot fumes till they lose the heat. The anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial properties of tree tea oil will reduce the swelling in the nasal passages, destroy the infection and make breathing easier.
Eucalyptus Oil
Take a soft clean cotton cloth and fold it several times to form a pad. Heat this pad on a griddle and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to it. Bring the pad close to your nose and inhale deeply. The hot fumes of the eucalyptus oil will clear the congestion instantly. You can repeat this as often as you want. The powerful medicinal properties of eucalyptus oil will heal all the symptoms of a stuffed up nose.
Black Pepper
Black pepper is very pungent and very aromatic. It has a host of medicinal values which are very valuable for treating a wide range of diseases and disorders.
It is full of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties which eradicate the infection and bring relief in the swelling. Put to boil a cup of water. Add five crushed pepper corns to it and boil for two minutes. Stir in two teaspoons of honey and drink this hot tea slowly, three times daily.
Mustard Oil
Heat some mustard oil. Add some camphor to it and massage your chest, sides of the neck and the shoulders with it. Massage well and thoroughly for fifteen minutes. Mustard oil has anti-inflammtory and heat producing properties which not only reduce the swelling but also help to decongest the mucous and unblock the airways. The massage will also help you to sleep better.
Garlic
Heat one teaspoon of ghee and add four minced cloves of garlic to it. Stir for half a minute the turn off the heat.
Eat this hot mixture just before going to bed. Do not drink water or any other liquid after eating it. The nasal blockage will clear up and you will be able to sleep comfortably.
