Ways To Cure Dandruff
Aspirin
Aspirin not only take control of your pain but also your dandruff. It many sound different but aspirin is a very effective and inexpensive remedy for dandruff. Every home has this medicine in the medicine box.
So, you just need to crush 2 tablets into fine powder and add it to your shampoo evenly before washing your hair. While washing your hair, rub the scalp with the shampoo mixture and leave it for few minutes and then rinse. Finally wash again with plain shampoo.
Baking Soda
Here is another common home item (or rather a kitchen item) that can recue you from dandruff. To use baking soda, wet your hair beforehand, and then rub enough amount of baking soda (4 to 5 tablespoons) on your scalp.
Then wash off the hair with plain water. Initially, your hair may appear dry but gradually scalp will start to secrete natural moisturizer.
Mouth Wash

Vinegar
Vinegar is a versatile remedy for all scalp and hair problems. Be it an oily scalp, fizzy hair or dandruff, vinegars never fails you. And the best type of vinegar for hair problems is apple cider vinegar.
You just need to rinse your hair with a mixture of 2 cups of apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water after shampoo. Otherwise, take a little vinegar in your palm and massage the scalp with it for few minutes. Leave for 1 or 2 minutes and then rinse.
Lemon
Lemon is loaded with vitamin C. And vitamin C acts as acid which helps to control dandruff. Using lemon juice on scalp also prevents fungal infection that may otherwise take the shape of acute skin problem in the form of dandruff. So, if you see any sign of extremely itchy dandruff, treat it right away or it may become a severe skin condition.
Though lemon is used in various ways for treating dandruff, using lemon peel is one of the effective ways. Peel 3 to 4 lemons and boil the peels in 4 to 5 cups of water for around 20 to 30 minutes. Cool the liquid to room temperature. Then use it to wash your hair once a week.
Salicylic Acid Solution
Being an acid, salicylic acid solution acts similarly as lemon on scalp though it is an artificial one. The solution is easily available in any drug store. It can be used by soaking a cotton ball with solution and then dabbing on the scalp. It is safe to use but to be on safer side, consult your doctor before using it on scalp.
There are several shampoos available in the market that comes enriched with salicylic acid. These shampoos are very effective in curing dandruff. Make a research or consult a dermatologist about these shampoos. And use the solution or the shampoo only till the dandruff is visible on the scalp.
Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek seeds are used on scalp since ancient times. Ayurveda reveals it efficacy to treat several hair problems. To use it for dandruff, soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds overnight. Next morning, grind them using a little water to make a paste.
Directly apply the paste all over the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Then rinse the scalp with water or shampoo. Continue to use fenugreek seeds similarly for once a week until dandruff is permanently cured.
Yogurt
Yogurt is another excellent remedy for dandruff straight from your kitchen. It not only controls dandruff but also condition the hair naturally. Apply plain natural yogurt directly on the scalp and hair.
Let it sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour according to your convenience. After that, either wash with plain water or just shampoo and witness a healthy and dandruff-free scalp for ever.
Oil Massage
If the dandruff is caused due to excessive dry skin, then oiling the scalp will help. Besides controlling dandruff, oil massage has a number of benefits on scalp. It nourishes the hair with nutrients while moisturizing it. It increases blood circulation on the scalp, stimulating the hair follicle and preventing further formation of dandruff and hair fall. Take any oil almond, olive or coconut whichever suits you.
If you like, you can also add few drops of essential oil like rosemary or lavender oil for maximum benefit. Heat it to warm and massage the scalp with the oil. Preferably, leave it on the scalp for overnight. If leaving it overnight is not possible then let it act at least for one hour. Next morning wash the hair with shampoo.
