7 Ways To Cure Pimples At Home

Pimples are every teenager’s nightmare. Some of us continue to have them even later in life. When the sebaceous, or oil glands, get infected with bacteria, it results in swollen up, pus-filled pimples. The main cause behind it is the excess sebum secretion by the oil glands. Pimples are generally seen on the face, neck, shoulders and the back.

As they are not pleasing to the sight, most people feel miserable every time a pimple appears on the face. It can also pain a lot when too many pimples are formed on the tender skin of your face. A lot of creams and lotions are available in the market to treat pimples, but they do have their side effects. Some of the natural home remedies you can use to cure pimples are as follows.

7 Cure Pimples At home

Apply Ice

Rubbing ice over the affected areas helps in improving blood circulation in that area. It freezes the skin pores and removes the dirt and oil that has accumulated on your skin. It is very soothing on the skin and also provides relief from the pain.

The swelling and inflammation on the skin subside with regular use. Wrap of few ice cubes in a piece of clean cloth and hold it over the affected area for a while. Repeat this a few times.

Garlic

Garlic contains strong antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Using it internally or externally is very beneficial in curing the pimples. Add some chopped garlic cloves liberally to your food while cooking. You can also have raw garlic cloves every day. This helps purify your blood, thus giving you a pimple-free face. Garlic also contains sulfur which helps heal the pimples quickly. Rub a fresh garlic clove on the pimples and wash your skin after five minutes. Do this several times a day and see your pimples disappearing.

Honey

Honey has been used since ancient times in treatment of pimples. It contains natural antibiotics and helps heal the pimples faster. It also prevents infections and spreading to other areas.

Apply some honey on your pimples and wash with lukewarm water after half an hour. You can also add some cinnamon to honey and apply this paste on your pimples and leave it overnight. Wash with cold water in the morning. You will find a huge reduction in inflammation and swelling!

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C and helps in drying up the pimples faster. Apply some fresh lemon juice over the pimples and get rid of them quickly. The best way to apply is to take a cotton swab and dip it in some lemon juice. Now apply it over the pimples at bedtime. Leave it on for the night and wash-off with plain water in the morning. You will notice that the inflammation has reduced and your skin is glowing.

Steaming

Steaming opens up the skin pores, allowing the skin to breathe well. It is beneficial to your skin at all times, but when you have a pimple prone skin it comes in even more handy. The steam helps you get rid of oils and harmful bacteria that are trapped in your skin pores.

This prevents formation of pimples in the first place. Fill a bucket with hot, boiling water and bend over it. Let the steam come on your face for a few minutes. This will open up all those clogged pores and give you a beautiful skin.

Apply Toothpaste

Applying some toothpaste on the pimples is a very effective way of getting rid of them. It is a very common household remedy. Just as the toothpaste cleans your teeth, it can also help clean up the pimples. Do not use the gel kind. Apply little white toothpaste on the pimples and leave it on for at least half an hour. Wash your face with water and you will notice a reduction in swelling. Do this a few times in a day. You can also apply it at bedtime and leave it on overnight in order to get the best results.

Cucumber

Cucumber is very cooling and soothing on the skin. It helps reduce the inflammation and swelling on your face. Eat lots of raw cucumber in salad every day. Soak some fresh cucumber slices in water for an hour, strain and have this liquid. It contains essential nutrients like vitamin A, potassium and chlorophyll which get transferred to the water.

Wash your face with this water several times a day to cure the pimples. You can also apply a homemade cucumber face mask on your face. Let it dry and wash with warm water after half an hour. It helps clean the pores on your skin.
