Staph infection is caused by the staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This infection is pretty common because the staphylococcus aureus bacteria are normally found in the nose and on the skin of healthy adults. The bacteria, as long as it does not penetrate the skin through a wound, cut or injury is harmless but as soon as it gains an entry into the skin, it overcomes the natural protective mechanism of the immune system and causes infection and damage to the underlying tissue.

Pus collects underneath the skin and boils or furuncles erupt on the skin. These boils are red, swollen and very painful and cause intense itching and burning. When they burst open, they ooze fluid then they crust over. If the infection reaches the blood stream then it can also cause fever, chills, low blood pressure, nausea and vomiting. This infection is very contagious and one must not come into direct contact with the sores and weeping boils.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has marvelous antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties which can fight the staphylococcus aureus bacteria and promote quick healing. Tea tree oil is widely used for treating a host of skin infections.

Mix some tea tree oil with a little olive oil and dab it all over the infection three or four times daily. This oil will also bring relief in the itching and burning and will help contain the infection.

Sea Salt

Sea salt has been used since time unknown for fighting infections and healing the wounds quickly and effectively. Its hygroscopic nature dries out the boils quickly and reduces the swelling and pain very quickly. Sprinkle sea salt on the infected area two or three times daily to cure the staph infection.

Garlic

Garlic has such powerful healing and curative powers that it can treat even cure serious ailments and diseases. It has potent antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It can eradicate the bacteria swiftly and hasten the healing process.

Swallow three cloves of finely chopped garlic with some water every morning. Also grind some garlic to a fine paste and smear this paste all over the infected areas twice a day. Garlic will also prevent the bacteria from spreading to the other parts of the body.

Neem

Neem has overpowering infection fighting abilities. It has potent antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties which address all kinds of infection quickly and effectively.

Grind some fresh neem leaves to a fine paste. Smear the paste all over the infected area and keep it on for two hours after which wash it off with water. Apply the paste two or three times daily to cure the infection rapidly.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider is widely used in traditional medicine for wrestling all kinds of infections. Dab apple cider vinegar on the affected areas four or five times daily.

It will reduce the inflammation and pain and will help keep the infected area clean and well sterilized. Additionally, add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water and drink this mixture once every morning.
