Moles are small round bumps that can occur on any part of the skin. Everyone has a few moles and some moles are present at birth. Most moles are usually brown in color due to the presence of melanin which imparts color to the skin. They usually occur due to an overproduction of melanin. The melanin clumps together in the skin cells and this, leads to formation of dark spots on the skin.
Moles can be black, brown, red or pink. They can appear singly or in small clusters. Moles are harmless and some even enhance one’s beauty but some grow quite large and they appear unsightly due to their dark color and location. Most moles occur on the skin during puberty and the first twenty years of life. They are generally flat but can become a little raised and can grow large and develop hairs. You can easily get rid of a mole by using simple home remedies that are safe as well as effective.
