Apart from all the measures given above, a healthy lifestyle can bring about significant improvement in the quality of sleep. Adequate physical exercise, healthy eating, cutting down on caffeine, alcohol and smoking are very important for warding off insomnia.
The other effective ways to beat insomnia are eating in moderation at night, refraining from lying down in bed other than during bed time, avoiding sugary food.
