How To Prevent Allergies

Share

Allergies are caused by the over reaction of the immune system to harmless substances like dust, pollen, smoke, pet dander and molds. When these inoffensive substances enter the nasal airways, the immune system considers them as potential enemy and launches an attack to curb their invasion.

It releases certain chemicals known as histamines to counter attack but these chemicals only end up in inflaming the mucous membranes which line the airways and produce such distressing symptoms as a sore throat, cough, runny nose, stuffy nose, congestion, headaches, muscle aches and general malaise. An allergy can make your life miserable and can keep you indisposed in bed for several days disrupting your normal routine. It can make you feel enervated to such an extent that you don’t even have the energy to do your daily chores. However, by adopting simple measures and practices you can easily set yourself free from its clutches.
