Neem Leaves

Neem leaves are known to have anti-itching properties. Take a good quantity of neem leaves and make a paste of it. Apply this paste to the scalp. Keep it on for at least 20-30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, you can wash your scalp with warm water. Neem not only helps in easing out the itching in the scalp, but also helps in getting rid of any lice that could be present on the scalp.

Take 1-2 lemons and squeeze out the juice from it. Take double the amount of garlic cloves and churn out some juice from it. Mix it well, apply it to the scalp. Keep it on the scalp for around 20-30 minutes.

Wash the hair with warm water. The properties in the lemon will heal the itching of the scalp. The antibacterial properties of ginger will kill the bacteria on the scalp causing the Garlic paste sensation.

Fenugreek

Another paste that helps in healing the itchy scalp is fenugreek paste. Take around 3 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds and place it in a bowl of water, soaking it overnight. In the morning make a paste of this and apply it over the scalp. Wash your hair with lukewarm water after 30 minutes. This helps in eliminating the itchiness, and is also a good remedy for removing dandruff.

However, a caution has to be exercised when you use this. Fenugreek has cooling properties and leaving it for long on the scalp may result in a cold. This is especially true for people who are prone to catching a cold. If you are one among such people, then you should not leave the past for more than 10 minutes on the scalp. Also, do not cool the paste and apply.

Beetroot Juice

Take a snake gourd and extract juice out of it. Add beetroot juice to it and mix it well. Apply this paste to the scalp and leave it on for about 40-45 minutes. Then take a bath and carefully wash it with lukewarm water.

Another way to use beetroot juice is a mixture of beetroot juice and vinegar. Mix it well and apply it on the scalp in the night. Cover your head with a towel and keep it overnight. In the morning have a bath with lukewarm water. This will also solve the problem of dandruff.

Oil Massage

There are different oils that one can use to massage the scalp and get rid of an itchy scalp and dandruff as well.  Put a few drops of peppermint oil in a little water and massage it on the scalp. After about 10-15 minutes you can wash your scalp. Another oil which can be used is coconut oil.

Mix coconut oil with lemon juice and apply this mixture to the scalp and leave it there for 25-30 minutes. When you wash off your hair, you will see instant results. Other oils that can be effectively used are castor, mustard, almond and olive. Mix it in warm water and apply, keeping it overnight. In the morning your can wash your hair.
