The chickenpox rash usually appears two or three days after the first symptoms. The incubation period of the virus is around fourteen to sixteen days so you may not be aware of the infection immediately after you have been with someone with the virus. Chickenpox produces an itchy rash with fluid filled blisters all over the body. There is also severe fatigue, loss of appetite and general malaise. After the chickenpox spots appear, they fill up with fluid, and then they break open. The fluid drains from them and as soon as they dry, they crust over. New spots appear everyday for about a week.
Cook some oatmeal in water until it becomes soft and mushy. Spread a layer of the cooked oatmeal all over the rashes and leave it there. Oatmeal will instantly cool the inflamed skin and will relieve the itching.

Rub a piece of sandalwood on a flat stone with some water until you get enough paste to spread all over the blisters. Apply the paste on the rash and leave it there.

Coconut oil has multiple uses. It is not only used for cooking but it is also extensively used for cosmetic purposes and for treating and curing all kinds of skin infections and diseases.
Apply coconut oil all over the blisters three or four times daily. This oil will help to destroy the virus and at the same time it will prevent itching and scarring.
