How To Use Marigold For Varicose Veins

If you have blue colored enlarged veins on your legs and feet, it is a sign of a health problem known as varicose veins. Herbal remedies are very useful in reducing symptoms of this problem. Marigold is one such herb with high amounts of flavonoids that give relief in varicose veins. It reduces inflammation and pain. The ingredients of this herb reduce bleeding problems. It stops the damage of tissue. Marigold helps in decreasing swelling in legs. We will explain the uses of marigold for this condition.

Use Marigold Paste

Things Required

You can use the marigold paste directly on the skin. For making the paste, you will need some marigold petals. Pluck petals from marigold. Measure about one handful petals for this remedy.

Method Of Using Marigold Paste

The first step is the washing of marigold petals. After that, grind the petals using a food processor. You can also use a pestle and mortar for crushing the marigold petals. Apply the ground marigold on affected areas of your legs and feet. Do this remedy at night before sleeping. Leave the paste on skin overnight. Wash the skin when you wake up next day.

Use Marigold Ointment

Things Required

For making the marigold ointment, you will need leaves and flowers of marigold. The ointment can also be made from the stems of marigold. Measure two handfuls of all these parts of marigold. You will also need about half a kilogram of lard. Instead of the lard, you can also use vegetable fat. Cheesecloth is required to strain the mixture. Take very little amount of vegetable oil. A jar is needed to store the ointment.

Method Of Using Marigold Ointment

Cook the lard with the marigold. Keep stirring the lard when you are cooking it. Switch off the flame. Put a lid on the container. Leave aside to rest for one full day. After one day, heat the mixture. Add little vegetable oil to it. Use cheesecloth for straining it. When the lard in liquid and warm, pour it in glass container or jar. It will look like an ointment when it becomes cold. Rub the ointment on legs and feet over the affected areas. It will reduce problems caused by varicose veins.
