5 Natural Cure For Vitiligo

When the cells and tissues of the body are deprived of the pigment which imparts color to the skin, eyes and hair, white patches appear on the skin.This condition is known as vitiligo. Special cells called melanocytes are present in the skin and are responsible for producing this colour giving pigment.If these cells die or are unable to make the pigment the affected skin becomes white and the hair in that area also turn white. Vitiligo can also affect the mucous membranes inside the mouth and eye.

It is assumed that vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder. The immune system behaves erratically and attacks and destroys the melanocytes. It is also conjectured that sunburn and extreme emotional stress can cause vitiligo.Vitiligo can affect children as well as adults of all races. It usually appears in those parts of the skin that are exposed to the sun like face, neck, feet, arms, hands and the lips. It can also affect areas like the groin, genitals, armpits, eyes and nostrils. It is more apparent in dark skinned people and hardly visible in people with a fair skin.

Tips To Cure Vitiligo Naturally

1. Papaya

Rub a piece of papaya fruit on the white patches. Let it dry then apply again. See that the juice penetrates the skin. In addition to this, drink papaya juice every day. Papaya helps in reviving the melanin cells. Continue with this treatment and you will perceive visible effects.

2. Red Clay

Red clay is a cheap and very effective remedy for vitiligo. Its copper content is very efficacious in restoring the pigmentation. Mix two tablespoons of red clay with one tablespoon of ginger juice. Rub the mixture all over the white patches daily. Ginger juice stimulates and increases the flow of blood to the spots. Continuous use of this remedy will soon restore your looks.

3. Duckweed

Duckweed is a small water plant found in lakes and ponds all over the world. It is very rich in lignans. It will bring back color to your skin. Grind duckweed to a fine paste. Mix it with one teaspoon of honey. Drink this mixture twice a day after meals. You will soon see its effective results.

4. Turmeric

Turmeric is the easiest remedy for vitiligo. This blood purifier will restore the pigmentation and remove your embarrassment. Chop half kilo of raw turmeric into small pieces.Chop a quarter kilo of ginger too. Mix them together in a jar and add the juice of five lemons. Add some salt and shake well. Eat two teaspoons of this mixture before meals on a regular basis.

Ginger helps in stimulating and increasing the blood circulation in the affected areas. You should also rub a paste made with turmeric powder and mustard oil to the patches. Mustard oil is rubefacient and with the help of turmeric it can revive the melanin cells.

5. Goosefoot

Goosefoot vegetable has valuable food and medicinal properties. It is rich in folic acid, minerals and vitamins and has a high content of protein. Eat this vegetable daily, for several months. Extract the juice of the leaves and apply to the patches three times a day. Regular application will show a marked difference in the whiteness of the patches.
