Natural Cures For Dry Socket

Share

When a tooth is extracted, an empty hole remains in the bone where the tooth has been removed from. This hole is the socket where a blood clot forms after a tooth is pulled out. This blood clot is essential for the complete healing of the scarred tissue. However, if the socket loses the blood clot, the underlying bone becomes completely exposed.

The bone and nerves are exposed to air, food, liquids, and whatever enters the mouth. Infections might set in and an inflammation develops in the affected area. This condition is known as dry socket and is one of the most painful dental problems one can ever face. It may last for a week and cause immense pain.
