5 Simple Natural Cure For Psoriasis

Share

Psoriasis is a skin disease that produces red and scaly patches on the skin. Anyone can have psoriasis. It is common all over the world in people of both the sexes. The first signs of this disease are mostly detected in early adulthood. This inflammatory condition is not contagious but it is considered to be chronic.

There is intense itching and burning and if you scratch too hard then there can be bleeding too. The intensity and frequency of the flare-ups keeps fluctuating and sometimes the skin even becomes absolutely clear. This disease usually affects the scalp, knees, knuckles and elbows although in severe cases the whole body gets covered with thick, red plaques.

Though the exact cause is unknown, it is assumed to be either hereditary or to result from the quick proliferation of skin cells caused by irregular lymphocytes from the blood. Some people have very mild and hardly discernible symptoms but those who are severely affected face social distress and embarrassment because of their unsightly skin.

Gram Flour

Besan has natural cleansing and soothing properties. Soaps and bath gels can aggravate the condition. They tend to dry the skin and increase the itching. Make a thick paste with besan and milk and lather your whole body with it.

Keep for a few minutes then bathe with warm water. All the scaly and dry skin will be sloughed off leaving your skin smooth and soft. Use besan and milk instead of soap and your skin will stay well moisturized and free from itching.

Curd

Curd soothes the skin, keeps it well moisturized and free from infection. It also has great cleansing and purifying properties. Mix some whole wheat grain flour with some curd and apply it all over your body as you would soap or bath gel.

Rub the mixture well into the skin and then bathe with warm water. The redness and itching will abate and the scales will stop flaking. Substitute this remedy for soap. Regular use will bring a marked difference in the appearance of your skin.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil not only nourishes the skin but also heals and revitalizes it. Rub coconut oil liberally all over the scaly patches. Massage well so that the oil can penetrate into the skin.

Rub this oil as frequently as you can to keep the skin well moisturized and free from itching. The healing and soothing properties of coconut oil will soon efface the red scaly patches from the surface of your skin.
