Stretch marks can be very unsightly and can mar your beauty a great deal. Stretch marks are visible light colored or whitish lines on the skin. They generally appear on the buttocks, thighs, breasts, abdominal area and upper arms. The skin consists of three layers. The epidermis is the outermost layer, the dermis is the middle layer and the subcutaneous is the deepest layer of the skin. Stretch marks occur in the middle layer of the skin when the connective tissue is stretched abnormally beyond its flexible range.
This abnormal stretching occurs due to rapid expansion or contraction of the skin. When the skin expands suddenly, collagen is weakened and its normal production cycle is hampered and damaged. As a result, fine scars develop on the surface of the skin. These scars look red initially but later, become light in color. These fine lines give the skin an uneven appearance. Though pregnancy is a main factor, puberty and sudden weight gain can also cause stretch marks.
Sugar is one of the most effective remedy for getting rid of stretch marks. Take a teaspoon of sugar and add a few drops of almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice to it.

See that the skin absorbs the juice thoroughly. Keep for half an hour then bathe with warm water. Rub the gel everyday before your bath and gradually the stretch marks will disappear.

Let your skin absorb the oil well. The surface of your skin should not look greasy or oily after applying the oil. Apply the oil as frequently as possible to get rid of the stretch marks faster.
