Tips To Get Rid Of Skin Allergies With Home Remedies

Everybody suffers from some kind of skin allergies at some point of time in their lives. There are various types of skin allergies, some mild while others are acute. The most common type of skin allergies are acne, blemishes, skin rashes, sun burn, heat rash etc. If not treated in time, these allergies can cause serious damage to the skin.

The cause of skin allergies can be hormonal changes or exposure to hot and extremely cold conditions. Allergy to certain food items can also cause skin allergy like itching, rashes and burning. Most skin allergies can be treated with effective home remedies, but if the problem persists for more than 4-5 days after trying home remedies then you must consult a dermatologist.

Tips To Get Rid Of Skin Allergies With Home Remedies

1. Milk

Milk has a soothing and cooling effect on the skin. It helps to get rid of sun burn and heat rash. Apply unboiled milk on your face with a cotton ball and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with normal water.

2. Sandalwood

Sandalwood powder removes blemishes and acne spots from the skin. It is a natural cleanser. Mix one tea spoon sandalwood powder with equal amount of rose water to make a paste. Apply it on the affected areas and leave it on till dry. Wash with normal water.

3. Neem

Neem is anti fungal and anti bacterial. It is especially beneficial for treating acute skin allergies. Mix ¼ tea spoon of neem fruit (nimboli) powder with sandalwood powder and unboiled milk. Apply the paste on affected area and leave it to dry. Dip a cotton ball in rose water and wipe the paste off your face. Neem leaves are also known for their healing properties in case of skin allergies. Boil a handful of neem leaves in one litre water and use it to rinse your face and other parts of the body to get rid of skin allergies.

4. Basil

Extract the juice of 8-10 basil leaves. Apply it directly on affected areas. Wash your face with normal water after 15 minutes.

5. Mint

Mint helps to get rid of acne spots and blemishes. Apply mint juice on affected areas for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off with water. Make a paste of fresh mint leaves; add a few drops of lemon juice to it. Apply it on the face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash off with normal water. Your skin will be free of all types of spots.

6. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera gel has a soothing effect on the skin. It is anti bacterial and anti fungal. It helps to cure sun burn and heat rash. You can buy Aloe Vera gel from the market or extract the gel directly from the plant. Apply the gel on affected areas and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wipe it off gently with a moist cotton swab.

7. Diet

What you eat has a direct effect on your skin. Watch your diet if you suffer from any kind skin allergies. You should include fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables and salads in your daily diet. Avoid consuming processed foods and aerated drinks. Drink plenty of water to cleanse and detoxify your system to get rid of skin allergies.
